Valentine's Day is all about love, and it doesn't have to be about the romantic kind of love because the most important relationship that we have is the one that we have with ourselves.

Self-love is defined as 'love of self' or 'regard for one's happiness or advantage' and there's many ways that you can practice self-love.

  1. Meditation - In a world that is always busy it's good to take at least a few minutes each day to sit down, slow down and just exist. It will help you reduce stress and develop concentration.
  2. Journaling - Taking even a few minutes a day to journal can help you reduce stress, improve immune function and boost your mood.
  3. Creating a home-spa - Unfortunately, most people can't afford to go to a SPA as often as they would like to or need to. That's why doing a home spa is a good way around it, just light up some candles around your bath, put in some bath salts or essential oils, put a face mask on and dim down the lights and voila you're all set to relax.
  4. Watching your favourite series/boxset - Sometimes we all need a day in pj's watching your favourite boxset, while eating pizza. One might say that that's unhealthy, but we think that life is all about balance.
  5. Treat yourself to something nice - Who doesn't like buying themselves something nice from time to time? The answer is no one. We all enjoy spoiling ourselves from time to time, and rightly so because life can get stressful and we deserve it. Why not treat yourself to some hair extensions or makeup, and when you spend over £25 we will treat you to a free lipstick!
